Monologue Research Assignment
Browse through the collections of monologues and select a minimum of SEVEN and a maximum of TEN monologues to consider using for your final Theater assessment. All monologues must be age and content appropriate. Please note:
- There are several ways to print your monologues. If you want to print a monologue from the Movie monologue page, just click the link for the monologue and print the page that comes up. If you want to print a monologue from StageAgent.com, you will first need to highlight and copy the text of the monologue. Open a new Word document and "paste" the text to the document. Now you are free to enlarge the font size. After you have pasted the text and are satisfied with the font size, you can print the page.
- Though these sites are extensive, they are by no means complete. Monologues can be obtained through other resources. If you have a particular monologue in mind but do not see it on either of these pages, please see Mr. Shaw or Mrs. Omans for assistance.
- Some monologues feature dialogue from other actors. Though technically not a "monologue," these scenes can be adjusted to act as monologues.
- Try to select monologues that reflect a wide variety of dramatic styles. Try to avoid all Disney monologues or all action monologues.
